Kathleen Sehring Hill 1939 - 2022

Kathleen 'Kathy' Hill went home to be with the Lord after a short illness on October 7th, 2022. She was an incredibly special lady. Born to Harry and Edith Sehring on March 6th, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY., she graduated from Bishop MacDonald High School in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating high school, she met and married the love of her life, Tyler Hill a Navy Sailor from Springfield, MA while he was stationed at the Brooklyn Navy yard. They married in 1960 and had five sons. In 1973, the family moved to Brookfield, CT, in 2005 Kathy and Tyler retired in Spring Hill, FL.

Over her life, Kathy wore many hats. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, published author/writer/poet, Justice of the Peace, President of the Wellington Republicans Club, singer/rapper, clown, high school mascot, Tupperware lady, school lunch lady, world traveler, and follower of Jesus Christ. She loved her friends and family, and telling people about Jesus whenever the opportunity presented itself. Kathy was faithful to use the gifts that the Lord gave her to show others love and to honor Him.

There are so many words to describe Kathy; vibrant, loving, generous, fearless, and loyal to name a few but Kathy was so much more too. She was always funniest person in the room. She put smiles on faces from prisons, to churches, to schools, to hospitals all over the world. She made fast friends everywhere she went and was a treasure to everyone that knew her. She loved singing and dancing as well as doting over all of her kids and grandkids. She lived a very full and accomplished life.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tyler Hill, her sister and brother in law, Jeanne and Don Leonard of Lakewood Ranch, FL, her five sons and wives, Greg and Cheryl of Purcellville VA, Steve and Cam of Apollo Beach FL, Terence and Paula of Virginia Beach VA, T.J. and Andrew both from Spring Hill, and her seven grandchildren George, Emily, Henry, Jack, Summer, Avery, and Reign.
